The Home Buyer Checklist
Please use this as a handy reference in the home buying process…a what to expect guide!
1) Get prequalified with a lender: If you do not plan on purchasing your home with cash it is important to get pre-qualified in order to understand your price range and be ready when the perfect property comes along.
2) Get familiar with the neighborhoods and criteria for homes you might be interested in.
3) Interview a Realtor…Call us today (530) 674-4877.
4) Find the perfect property! Remember only a licensed Realtor can show you properties.
5) Make an Offer: You and your realtor will be able discuss and determine the appropriate terms of your offer.
6) Acceptance! If you offer is accepted without further negotiations you get to move forward in the transaction.
7) Open Escrow: Escrow will be opened, your lender will start processing your loan and property inspections will be completed. The process typically takes 30 days but varies depending on what type of loan you have applied for and what type of property you are buying.
8) When all loan, escrow, title, appraisal (among other requirements) have been met the proper paperwork will be drawn and you will schedule a signing.
9) The loan funds are recieved by the seller and the transfer of the property is recorded. YOU GET THE KEYS TO YOUR DREAM PROPERTY!!!
